Yes. We cut women's suits to individual measurements the same way we cut men's, drafting for the bust, waist and hip rather than resizing a men's block. Women's tailoring is a regular part of our work, for weddings, business and formal occasions.
Women's suits start from $799 for a two piece and run through the same five fabric tiers to $1699 as the rest of our range. Consultation, measurement, final fitting, complimentary alterations and delivery are included. Full tiers on our pricing page.
Four to six weeks from consultation to final fitting. If it is for a wedding, book the consultation at least three months out so there is time to change direction on fabric or cut without pressure on the date. Priority orders can usually be accommodated if you need it sooner.
At the first appointment we take a full set of measurements including bust, underbust, waist, hip and shoulder, along with posture notes, and discuss how close through the waist and how long through the jacket you want the suit to sit. At the final fitting we adjust it on you. The areas that most often need work are the bust dart and the jacket waist, and both are corrected on the spot. Alterations afterwards are complimentary.
For a summer or outdoor wedding, linen and lightweight wool blends stay comfortable through a long day. For cooler months, a mid-weight wool holds a sharper line. Ivory, cream and pale grey all photograph well against traditional wedding settings, and a satin or grosgrain lapel facing gives the suit a formal finish without a tuxedo. We hold over 5,000 fabrics for you to compare in the showroom.
All three. Trouser suits are the most common request, but we also cut skirt suits, women's tuxedos with satin lapel facings for black tie, and waistcoats as part of a three piece. Bring images of what you have in mind to the consultation and we will tell you how close we can get.
